From Sign to System

At the intersection of design and code, Sven Fuchs has been developing typefaces, tools, and visual systems for over 25 years.

At the Peter Schmidt Group, he leads typography-driven design systems for Deutsche Bahn, E.ON, Barmer and other clients.

In parallel, he researches typography as a cultural and technological system, publishes in PAGE magazine, and founded typografie-debatte.de, a digital archive on modern typographic discourse.

He co-founded Typocalypse and organizes the Typostammtisch RheinRuhr and has held teaching positions at institutions including HGB Leipzig, HBK Braunschweig, Saar College of Fine Arts, and Trier University of Applied Sciences.
